Bedroom plug socket positioning

You could always have the cable run down the wall and back up. The if you ever change your mind you can have the socket moved to a lower level without the difficulty of changing the cables.0

I'd also put in more than two sockets each side. Once you have electric blankets, radios, chargers, lamps, spare chargers etc. a simple double socket isn't enough!0

I would have them at the bottom of the floor and with built in USB ports.
Most lamps or devices you plug in have cords anyway and if the plug is too close, the cord just hangs around. Mobile phone is charged through USB and I have a dedicated charging cable there which I never unplug. I have one always in the car, one always in my bag.
If one day you want to move the bed for a change, these plugs will just sit high there?
As doozergirl said, often in loft conversions you’re a bit restricted where the bed can go anyway. One wall has 2 doors on it, another is almost all window, and the other has slightly restricted head height. It just wouldn’t make sense to put the bed anywhere else at all. The entire room has really been designed around having the bed in this position: there’s a big window you can see out of when in bed overlooking the huge garden and surrounding woodland. We’ve put a lot of thought into how the room will be and where things will work best and I can’t see any reason why we’d want to them move it all.You could always have the cable run down the wall and back up. Also, on a side note, that pricing seems extortionate!0

You're talking complete and utter rubbish. That is actually extremely cheap for an extra outlet. You appear to have completely ignored the labour aspect (as well as a number of other materials and sundries which you failed to mention would be required).
Ah but you have to remember when asked to do any job for someone its "only a bit of this / that," or "only a five minute job", so easy and cheap that you wonder why they don't just do it themselves.
It reminds me of the old retail joke ... Item out of stock, customer asks shop assistant if they can check with the store in nearby town if they have any.
Assistant goes to check, rings local branch 5 miles away and comes back to customer. "Yes sir, they have it in stock, when would you be able to collect it?"
Collect it? Its miles away, I can't be going off there - don't you have a van that you could send or a staff member who could pick it up for me? :rotfl:Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0
