Just got off the phone with Payplan (as advised by people on here). Explained that I had tried CCCS and they had said they couldn't help as I had a £600 deficit each month.
Paypal girl was really nice and I explained this to her and told her I couldn't understand why they couldn't help people who had a defecit. My thinking is that if I didn't have a deficit I wouldn't have a problem. Briefly went through debts on telephone and she told me that it isn't possible to help someone who has no money at the end of each month (heartbroken).
Then she cheered me up, ok it shows how thick I am, but it still cheered me up. She said that the reason CCCS had knocked me back was because I had included my debts in my monthly outgoings. Quite logical now I think about it. Anyway I'm belling her on Monday to hopefully get something sorted.
I am bloody thick aren't I.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Bet you aren't the first though!0

Just to confirm then
My income is about £2500
My priority stuff is about £1400
I pay out about £300 on bills
So this leaves me with £800 to try and negotiate around £1200 repayments on Loans etc.
Someone tell me this isn't the end of the world and is hopefully doable and who knows I may actually get some sleep tonight.0 -
This sounds doable to meOlympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

It looks like you are actually in a very good position to clear this then. I would think it is most certainly doable.

That's the road I was going to go down but do you not think that with having 50 years experience of being crap with money and also the fact that Payplan may have some leverage with my creditors that they would be the way to go. They don't charge and would surely strengthen my resolve and control.0 -
They will be a great help in sorting out the paperwork (for free) however remember it is YOUR responsibility not to go on spending. They are not miracle workers!!!Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0

Sorry mrsspendalot no offence meant just facts unfortunately.
Re curbing my spending, won't be a problem as I've cancelled my debit card so I won't be getting in any deeper. Believe it or not I'm a bit of a 'Del Boy' and love nothing more than going down to Mr T's and seeing what I can get for nowt. Will get my spending money by car booting some of my H&B from the afore mentioned and hopefully begin to enjoy life again.
I like you lot and if anybody needs a couple of vouchers now and again then PM me and I'll try and sort you out.0
