Want to change car insurance broker

I renewed my mother's car insurance 6 days ago. I was told I had 7 days to check & change any details if need be. I also made sure over the phone that the broker would not charge extra admin fees if my mother changed her car within one month ( she needs a new car ).
I rang today and they're asking for an extra £66 for changing the date of a named driver's speeding penalty by 5 weeks. They also told me there was no record of having agreed to waive admin fees to change the car and that I have to pay them £25 upfront in order for them to check the conversation. I'm very angry at their attitude and greed. The premium was expensive at the outset.
Am I entitled to cancel the policy for a refund ( less the 6 days already covered )? If I have to pay extra does anyone know how much they are legally entitled to charge me for cancellation? - because I strongly suspect they'll try to extract as much as possible! Thank you.

Their cancellation procedure will be set out in the policy docs. Also any fees they charge

Usually you can expect a cancellation fee as well as paying the (correct) premium for the time on cover

This would mean you paying pro rata based on the premium you should have paid (not the one you originally were charged)

When you use a broker there may be 2 lots of fees (theirs and the insurers)

unfortunately this how brokers work and how they make a lot of their money.

Ensure you read the T+C's before the cool down period or policy is bought to make an informed decision

That said I am using an insurance broker as it was the cheapest on the market
