Buying macbook from JL

Would you buy a MacBook air for £1049 from JL 3 yrs warranty or apple for £1099 with 1 yr warranty? I can buy it with 10% staff discount for £1103+ with 3 yrs apple warranty. Pl can anybody help me to decide which one to go for! I believe applecare is one of the best. Do I really need applecare. Thanks

Leaving aside the question of the wisdom of buying one at all, for your first question it seems a no brainer to buy from JL, cheaper price and 2 years extra warranty. As for your third alternative, I don't know whether Applecare is £54 better than a JL warranty, but others may have a more informed view.0

I have seen one on ebay seller has 100% feedback ex display model early March 2016 MacBook air 8gb 256 ssd at £860 + £10 postage. Very tempted to buy it and then buy an extra 2 yrs applecare. I guess by the time I decide it will be snapped by somebody. The one apple is selling is manufactured in 2015, Thanks0

I've never had problems buying mac products on ebay (touch wood). Apple refurbs are excellent (I'm typing on one now). I suspect that JL would get apple to fix your machine rather than have their own team of apple-trained techs but could be wrong about that.
I've never bought anything in an apple store. Walking in just makes me feel that I've held out my wallet and said "help yourself" while a giant pair of donkey's ears have started to grow out of my head. I'd prefer to buy a used refurbished one from apple or ebay.There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
