Miss D-T gets paid by BWL regardless of what happens.
BWL get their fee from Excel regardless of what happens.
Excel get the court judgment if they win, but they still lose out anyway. (The actual total cost of bringing the claim always far exceeds the amount of judgment - by several hundred pounds).

He (and the other PPCs) have already done so. It's a numbers game ... for every defended claim there'll be at least 10 where the defendant pays up before court or doesn't defend and then pays a default judgment (or has a CCJ).
Let's average claims at £150.
10 x £150 = £1500 (with costs recovered)
1 x defended claim costs, say, £500 in total
Net profit = £1000
They wouldn't be doing court unless it made financial sense to do so. PPCs are merely using court as a form of general debt collection ... totally against what the court is intended for.0
