Tyre inflators- buy a compressor or use garage air line?

I have a compressor, it's a Shell branded thing from 1982 and it still works.
My GF on the other hand is now on her 3rd store bought compressor in 2 years, different brands, different prices, all failed.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

How's this for 'inflation': my local Tesco charged 20p for two minutes of air. I visited earlier in the week and the price had increased to 50p for five minutes (no change given). Now the majority of motorists can do the business in two minutes, so essentially they've increased their prices by 150%. Needless to say I won't be going there again, either for air or petrol (robbing b***ds). Thinking now about getting my (cheap) compressor.0
