in Credit cards
In case it slipped under anybody's radar - Thomsons have just introduced "their" own credit card.
Maybe of (limited ?) interest to those who regularly book holidays through them - no credit card fees when booking holidays (including cruises) through them or First Choice at one ot their travel agents branches, or online via their website when using this new card.
However (there's always a but with Thomsons) it doesn't extend to purchases made on their aircraft or to settle stateroom accounts onboard their cruise ships !!!
There also appears to be conflicting guidance from their website as to what % fee is taken if using another credit card.
I recently read it was 1.5% with no upper maximum limit quoted - now it appears to evolved into 2% and a maximum of £95.

Interesting.
The Thomson card is issued by New Day, who also issue Aqua cards and some store cards including Debenhams.

I'm tempted to book our next holiday with Jet2 (who don't add a credit card fee) using the Thomsons plastic to gain the points on offer !!!0

Yes it does seem that the end is nigh (or nearly) on credit card surcharges.
I see that JET2 even accept AMEX cards now free of charge so Quidco for say £30 cashback and then 1% on my AMEX card - happy days.0 -
Thomsons now accepting AMEX - but with 2% fee.0
