Extended warranty Washing Machine

Have a Hoover Washing machine its 1 month old, warranty 1 year parts and labour along with a further 4 year parts.
I'm thinking of extending the warranty to give a full 5 years cover.
I have looked at whats on offer and seem to be the best price wise at £149 does anyone know of any other company (not hoover they want another £40)
Any advice appreciated good or bad.

Hi malamute,
D&G are an okay company to deal with, we work for them and I have dealt with DAG for twenty years or more, but not the cheapest.
General advice on appliance warranties can found here but I did write that a while ago so some of it may well be out of date.
We didn't like what was on offer so we introduced our own using AXA as the underwriter as, if AXA goes bust we've got bigger problems than a broken washing machine.
We run two schemes that are cheaper than most and provide better cover, especially if there is a call for the machine to be written off, one for new appliances (i.e. still under the manufacturers warranty) and one for any up to five years old which is a monthly contract type.
I don't want to appear as if I'm spamming here as that is far from the intent but I do know that this may save people a bit of money but if the board moderators do not want to leave in the links below I will fully understand.
Monthly insurance info
New appliance info
I'm afraid that we do it the old fashioned way to some extent as it's a complex area so I tend to price each policy specifically for people. Plus, on the new one especially, you can save a lot by combining machines.
I am away for the weekend but if anyone wants more info on this or how any appliance insurance scheme work I'll happily try to help as I know, or deal with, most of the major ones.
