Tesco current account - can you change clubcard number?

I have a tesco savings account and a clubcard tied to it which has points, however I do not know the clubcard number and have requested it be sent to me but 2 weeks later I have still not received it.

I want to apply for a couple of current accounts to put 3k in, on the application it asks for your clubcard number (which I do not know) or if left blank they will assign a new one.

Is this actually the case? and if so, can I later change the clubcard number to my existing one, once I eventually find it out?

edit: I have contacted tesco bank about it but have fallen on deaf ears once I got to the "have not received it" stage.

    I have a number of card numbers, due to replacements after loss or in one case forgetting it during shopping and the CS person suggesting taking another card pack.


    This doesn't matter as all your cards are linked to one account, ie the one in your name , with an address for reward payments.


    I have lost my most recent cards, but using an old one (the one I left at home) still gets rewards paid.


    If you already have a Tesco account, applying for another takes less time as they display the details they already have, including a club card account number.

    Yes you can. You log in to Tesco Online Baking and there's a option on the right hand side to update/change your Clubcard number.

    If I go to "update your clubcard number" when looking at the internet saver, the number is not actually displayed. I can visit the clubcard website with my email/pass and I have points, but I opened the "account" over 10 years ago now and it's slowly accrued some points via tesco direct purchases.

    Either way, I did not know you could do this so that puts an end to my doubts, cheers.
