I have just been stung by a simple enquiry to 118 118

Is the following the best number (cheapest) to use from a mobile to gain directory enquiries: 0800 118 3733

Thanks

The best is not to use a phone at all, but to use BT Directory Enquiries: http://www.thephonebook.bt.com/publisha.content/en/index.publisha

Whenever I hear the ads on the radio for 118 type services and the price at the end, I think "what kind of idiot would use any 118 service when they can just use their mobile or PC to google anything they need".

Then to ask for a better one is just foolish, do not use them, any of them.

When we had 192 it was cheap and cheerful, then the Gov introduced so called competition and people pay £8 a call. Ofcom should cap it at 5p flat rate for the call.
Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !
