Incredibly noisy fan on newish laptop :/

the laptop is only a few months old, its noisier than my last one and has been from day one, but the last week or so its getting worse and worse, even with the cpu at under 40% its sounding like its about to take off and then just now its started making almost growling noises!

about to take the back off and clean it but should i be looking for some loose connection or something? help!

    The fan bearings might be gone. I'd get a new fan ordered or take it back.

    on opening it up, i can see there is two fans, but on the back casing only one fan has air holes.... that cant be right?

    You should have taken it back.
    But... Maybe one of the fans blows out the side?

    Do you have dusty environment?

    Building work going on outside?

    Try vacumming the exit grill of fan, while blocking others.

    Try going into BIOS Setup (F2 or DEL on startup) and see if there are any fan settings,

    As it is so new you might as well take it back but do not expect anything, fan will be custom.
