If you had read my first post, you would have noticed that I had mentioned my intention was to get out of a contract that I had been entered into unknowingly. My initial contract was started in 2006, so I am not trying to defraud anyone as they should have told me that a new 12 month contract should commence. Virgin are the ones who have admitted an error and then refused to investigate it.
You claim that Virgin didn't mention the extended contact to you, since all calls are recorded you need to contact them again and insist that the call is listened to.
Have you received any paper work that you've signed and sent back?0 -

I called and was told that a manager would review the complaint within 50 days, and was told that even then they might not listen to the call as they had sent out paperwork. I haven't sent anything back as I haven't even seen a letter- they all go to a different address and I am not even sure anything came.0 -

We listen to any calls after complaints within 7 days at my place, I'm not sure what the legal requirement is but 50 days sounds excessive. Phone them back and chase it up.
The post going to a different address (your mothers?) is unfortunate but can't be blamed on Virgin.0 -

When I originally called to cancel, it was the person I spoke to who offered to raise a complaint and told me that complaints were looked at at the end of each day. When I phoned back a week later, the person told me they had up to 50 days.0 -
