Evening all,
Been a crazy month with my car breaking down and costing just short of £600. I was so gutted then a kind friend of mine gave me the money for my birthday. I really didn't know what to say and in truth didn't want to take it but he said he knows how much I struggle and wanted to do something good. So humbled.
Anyway that means I'm back on track and even best I have just applied for a 0% credit card and been accepted. Meaning I can transfer that horrid 20.9% card to one which I'm not paying debt on.
Guys its so great to read how well you are all doing and for those who i can see are struggling, keep going you are all doing amazing and should be very proud...

Hi everyone,
Been reading some positive posts! Well done :T
I was wondering if you could help or point me in the right direction please. I've seen some of you lovelies mention YNAB. I've signed up for a months trial. It works on a calendar month basis, but I get paid on the 20th of each month, so my question is.. will it eventually even itself out and fall in line after a couple of months? Or will it just not work for me? At the moment it doesn't seem to work

Hi MrsMck. Once you get to the stage where you can allocate your pay to 'next month's' income, it will work fine. I get paid slightly later than you, so when my money comes in at the end of this month, I will allocate it to 'income for March', and it goes into March's spending categories.
The ultimate YNAB aim is to always be a full month ahead (so Feb's pay is allocated to April, etc), but I've a way to go before I get there.
I hope that makes sense.[FONT="][FONT="] Fighting the biggest battle of my life.
