  • You can do this Blackberry! My husband and I have around £20k to pay off between us, then we want to save for a house deposit (aiming for £20-£30k), all in the next 2 to 2.5 years - we re-did budgets at the weekend, I cried because we need to be so careful with money if we are going to get there. I'm 32 and OH is 35, so time is of the essence if we want to buy a house and start a family. What I'm trying to say is that I feel your pain, we are all in this big debt-busting boat together, even if it feels like we are the only ones. Keep going!

Thanks got the advice I've just dropped my card to 0%. Just sitting here feeling a bit depressed by it all. I feel like I'm on top of my debt but every time I make a bit of headway something comes along like Christmas, the car breaks or the cooker. If I wasn't paying these debts that would be my buffer I need a holiday and the only way is the cc then it'll kill me afterwards. Is there a better way am Zi doing something wrong. On s plus meal planning is saving me money.

You've got to pace yourself, otherwise you will end up so discouraged. We always mainly had business debt, just the last few thousand to pay off now. I am sure I could have paid it off at least two years ago if I went cold turkey on shopping and lived off baked beans and toast for months on end, but I decided instead I would still get what I needed.

If you need a holiday maybe hunt around for really cheap flights somewhere. If it were me, being in Edinburgh, I would probably go somewhere with Norwegian Air, because they have just increased their flights here massively, so if that were me I would be probably planning for a few days in Copenhagen in March, £29.60 each way:

If you're down south somewhere, Easyjet or Ryanair are probably even cheaper. People who live in Luton are spoilt rotten, lol:

£14.99 each way to Barcelona from here though (Edinburgh), so well cheap and worth it.

So I really wanted folks advise - Im not sure how many follow my diary but I currently work 3 jobs.
Now Ive just been told that the overtime train in W1 has stopped and might not be coming back. Ive been offered a cleaning job in the morning from 5am - 7am
Which means my day would look like 4.30 - 7 cleaning an office
    7.15 until 8 cleaning a bookies
    10-6 at W1 and if required 6.30pm - 8pm doing telephone surveys.
It would be Monday to Friday (on Saturday the bookies would be done twice once when it opens and once when it closes)
On paper it looks fine but Im just wondering if its all manageable

    Hi.

    Could i put a target of £16,000.

This includes all projected interest on approx £13,000.

Also to note paid £345 / £16,000 so far in Jan.

Current target is end of November which frees up Christmas 17.

    Creditors 14 / 14

Creditors unable to comply with s77 request 1 / 3. Saving approx £600.

I suppose it depends on travel between work places. They do sound like long days but if you feel its OK.I suppose you can just try it and see.
