Ok. The past two months since I last checked in have been a tale of two halves. I had a £1200 car repair bill (clutch / flywheel) and insurance on that as well as the motorbike at another £900 ish. I had actually budgeted however for a change, and my overtime payments came in last week giving me £3000 to put on the cards. So, I've parked debt on the credit cards, but have now taken off a lot more in return, so overall a win.
So, it's a little tricky to give a numerical update. My debt on the front page stood at £ 8,345,89. I now have £1615 on the Virgin card and £616 on the barclaycard. The student loan is all but done now with £489 remaining.
So, I guess I can add those up which gives me £2720. I can then take that away from the £8345.89 and that gives me £5625 paid off. So, my new updated total is that I owe £2720 which is 68% of my debt gone.
This next month will be a bit lean for me as not got much overtime, but August's pay check should be another big one - I'm currently having a beer in-between two 12 hour shifts. I think I can clear the rest of this by September. Finally, after a looooooonngggg time the end is in sight.
I'm too tired to change my signature - I should put the barclaycard back to being £616 in debt, but it will be coming off this month so I'm just going to leave it.0 -
