Lanzarote Xmas accommodation

Hi guys

Looking to go to lanzarote on my own between 24th and 31st Dec, but looking at accommodation prices, its mental.... I know its normally expensive this time of year. Anyone got any tips on getting something cheaper? I am sure I know the answer, but thought i'd ask before I give up

Cheers

Finding accommodation at any price for Xmas is challenging. There was someone asking on one of the FB groups this morning and every company and every villa they tried was full. One of the management companies did eventually find something for them I think, but the island is packed over the Xmas period. Being on your own will add to the price. When accommodation is as scarce as it is they want full occupancy in it. Under occupancy will incur a big supplement.

If it was just me, I would get the flights, then keep my eye open at resort, there's always bars & shops with rooms over them for rent.
I think that applies to any holiday destination.
  • Just looked on Air bnb and 58 options come up for those dates.
