The " NEW" Green Deal
Apologies if this is in the wrong place but if so I'm sure it will be moved .
I know the Green Deal was killed off a while back but on Facebook The New Green Deal is being touted .Not a lot was explained about it and Googling produced nothing . There is a url for the company at .co.uk but again that says little and there appears to be no address or contact telephone number .
I filled in the form on Facebook and yesterday got a call about it and learned very little but I have an "assessor" coming on Wednesday so hopefully that will tell me more ..What I do know is that he comes from Penicuik Windows who are a known company up here so whether they are the only company involved I don't know .
Has anyone dealt with thenewgreendeal.co.uk and if so how did it work out .

He will be representing a window installation company, so he will be trying to sell you windows and/or other energy saving measures such as some sort of insulation, and to pay for it all he will try and sell you a loan package.
That's what I think, so if I was you I would refuse to sign anything and refuse to part with any so called "deposit" fee or pay any fees which he is likely to request, most of all REFUSE TO SIGN QANYTHING.0 -

I cancelled the appointment so nothing will be happening and nor did I intend to enter in to any agreement .That's why I want to know how it works before I go any further ..Another company were supposed to be sending me a PDF file of how the scheme works but that hasnt happened .0 -
I really wish I'd seen this before I lost the last 2hrs to a window salesman. Prior to setting up the meeting I was told no obligation quote, valid for 2 years which wouldn't change with inflation etc. So I thought no pressure. Guy took ages to get to the point. Measured up. Gave us the quote, which was about as expected, payment plan over something like 100 months!
They had a limited time offer that if I agreed to advertising board and window sticker for two months I could get it cheaper. I said would think about it. Then the salesman gets his manager on the phone who pushed really hard for me to sign there and then if he could take nearly £1500 off the price!! But only if I agreed now. I heard firm and said no need to do sums/discuss with partner etc. He wasn't best pleased and said offer may not be available tomorrow.
On top of deal you apparently get a TLS card which gives you cash back from many places like shell, Asda, subways etc. Not sure I'm convinced. The loan deal was a capital repayment scheme where they quote you minimum payment but if you overpay you get it payed off quicker and with less interest.0
