Weak or no signal on Samsung TV

Hello

I don't know if this board deals with TVs and/or aerials.

Recently my Samsung Smart TV has been having trouble receiving ITV, C4 and C5 (including the +1 channels) and the message I get is weak or no signal.. All the others channels, including Freeview, are fine.

Occasionally they would come back, but now the fault seems permanent. Is this a TV or aerial problem? If TV is there a solution? If aerial I suppose I need to call a specialist.

Many thanks for any help.

more than likely the aerial or the aerial cable.

Try digital auto-tuning in settings to update the channels first

Wiggle the aerial cables about as well .

Might need to get the aerial realigned, although if there's an issue with line of sight to a transmitter that might not be possible. You could consider Freesat as an alternative.
  • I've noticed that our recent Samsung TV isn't as sensitive as the set top box that we used with our old TV. This is especially apparent on the HD channels so we still resort to using the old set top box via HDMI when we have problems.
