my fix with flow is due to end april 2017 and im happy to pay £60 exit fee to get the fixed x 2 years deal with them - its only available via this site or Money supermarket apparently but whenever i submit my details to either site this special 2 year fix doesnt appear - has it now ended?

Flow have put me on their Connect 11 tarif but i wont get the £30 cashback or the deal advertised on here and Money Supermarket - any suggestions?

  • Just keep looking is what I'd suggest. The prices are just about to go up in January (and for many suppliers they already have gone up), so you may well be right to take the £60 hit to get a better deal before the remaining best deals disappear. The deals are disappearing by the day from what I can see (and you've seen for yourself.)

I can symapthise with your experience of what's advertised on Cheap Energy Club differing from what's actually available. Even after I switched recently, I found two different suppliers playing bait and switch with the tarriff quoted.

The most recent of these was about £68 difference per year, so it's not a trivial amount. I'll expect them to honour the agreement I actually signed up to and they started out advertising, or be taking the issue to Ofgem. It's the only way to stop this kind of behaviour. Frankly, it's the kind of nonsense that'd put me off switching previously.

I've just processed my switch with them - fingers crossed that it goes smoothly. Flow does seem to be quite cheap on energy, and the £30 cashback seems to be a bonus. It wasn't a 2 year fix, more of a 15 month fix that i found.
  • Contact Flow and ask them to put you on the MSE/MSM fixed tariff.
The tariff T&Cs are shown on their website. There is nothing to say it cannot be given to existing customers.
You will not get a cashback because you are not a new Flow customer.

Could there be confusion here ? When attempting to change from OVO to . Flow MSE/MSM fixed tariff , I too thought I was looking at a 2 year fix -- but then noticed it was 15months. Went back and relooked at all the info again, and it says 2 winters, not two years . Misleading at first glance, but clearly stated really. Or has there actualy BEEN a 2year one that only the first few applicants got?

The devil is in the detail. I think Martin's e-mail used words like 'lock in for two winters'. That said, this particular ship has now left port.
