Seeing as this has happened between exchange and completion and evidently rather suddenly, my first thought is to take a deep breath and be really sure it is necessary for you to be elsewhere. I can see that in the panic of a change of circumstances it could suddenly seem totally necessary, but maybe once the dust settles there are alternatives as Hazyjo suggests?

If there really are not the best I could suggest is finding from your lenders if there is any way they will allow it to be let given change of circs, and if so to stick with letting it for a year or two so no foul play can be suspected, but then you will have to suck up various costs of course.
