paid for parking late due to technical issues

I got a parking charge notice from a private contractor (CP Plus) managing the car park for my local railway station. I use this car park frequently and always pay using the RingGo app on my mobile. On the day in question, however, I could not connect to their website and in the process of trying again and again my phone eventually ran out of power. I was able to get my phone charged at the destination and then paid using the app but by that time (unbeknown to me) the parking ticket had already been issued.

Is it reasonable for me claim that I paid, albeit late due to the technical issues, and therefore the charge should be waived?

perhaps you should look at this from a different aspect , you state railway? as in railway land? , in which case the land is not applicable to be enforced by a private parking company

please type bylaws into the search , and do some research

Also read the Newbies Sticky for an up to date overview of private parking in the UK.

The PPC won't really care what actually happened on the day - so any appeal based on that will near-always fail. The better approaches are covered in the Sticky and non-relevent land is a good one! :)
