New house purchase land registry problem

Hi all, after a little bit of advice if possible please.
Looking to complete on a house very soon, everything ready to go apart from the title deeds don't match the land registry in relation to part of the boundary.
Our sellers have noticed the difference as well and have reported it to the Land Registry who have accepted it's a mistake and are going to rectify the issue.
Our solicitor had advised us to wait for this to be sorted and not to exchange contracts until this has been rectified and they have seen proof that the registry has been corrected because it could lead to problems in the future.
Our seller has now said they will pull out if not completed before the end of this week. Putting us in an awful situation.
Thanks for reading. Any advise?

Rather odd attitude by the sellers.
Quite frankly - the sellers need to sort this out whoever they sell to - and doubtless other buyers would come up with exactly the same query.
Chances are then = they're bluffing and they don't want the hassle.
Tough - they will have that hassle - whoever buys the house.
Hold firm.0 -
I assume you haven't exchanged?0

COMPLETED by the end of the week? Or exchanged...? Are your vendors in a chain with buying a place? What do they have to lose if they do pull out?
Have you seen any proof that LR have admitted that it's a mistake, or are you taking the vendor's word?
What's the other side of the boundary that's being moved on the official record? In other words, who's officially losing the land you're gaining...?
The answer to those would very much influence whether I'd be willing to take the chance or not.0 -

Nothing exchanged yet. Just waiting for this to get sorted. Yes there in a chain and buying a lovely house.

We've not seen anything. Just going on what they're saying.

The next door neighbour, it's a right of passage at the rear of their back garden.

Thanks for the responses. I've answered the questions in the quotation.0 -

But are they expecting you to exchange by the end of the week, then complete later, or actually complete and move by the end of the week?Yes there in a chain and buying a lovely house.
Are they really willing to walk away from that over this delay?

Have you looked at their site plan on the LR website?0 -
Thanks for your help. Thought so, could an indemnity type policy be a solution? Where they accept any future Liability?0

I've no idea.
But if it is they pay for it. And i'd want it scrutinised by my solicitor as completely watertight.
They've admitted the issue but are putting pressure on you. I wouldn't be happy.0
