Avant - Scotland

My husband and I are considering buying a new Avant home in Edinburgh however we have read lots of negative reviews online relating to their homes in England. We also noticed that last year they only got 2* from HBF customer satisfaction survey 2015 however in previous years they have been awarded 4 or 5*. They also won an award for their starter homes in the Scottish Home Awards 2016 which suggests that the problems people are experiencing are mainly due to the developments in England. Does anyone have experience with Avant in Scotland that can advise us if this would be a bad buy? Any information would be great!
