This map gives some ideas of where hotels are in relation to the Miami pier
Priceline or Hotwire may be the way to go if you're trying to save money
Have a look at Betterbidding for Miami hotels near the pier.0 -
Great map blindman, thanks for that. The Holiday Inn looks good for 1st night stay, now I need to find somewhere for the last two nights, South Beach ideally. Need a good site to book through as well.0

You don't fancy either Hotwire or Priceline ?
Miami map of reported Priceline wins0 -
Hot wire looks great but it does not tell you the name of the hotel you have booked it. Priceline I know nothing about and yes I have seen your excellent explanation of it but I need to do something quick and I do not have the confidence to try to master Priceline.0

You don't need to master PL or Hotwire.
Just register at betterbidding and ask the question re dates of stay, maximum budget etc.
There is also a list of Hotwire hotels that have been ID'ed
We'll help you out .:D0 -

The links I gave are EASY to use so don't use that as excuse :rotfl:

Hi,
Be very careful when booking a hotel in South Beach. Yes its near the sea but believe me there are some real grotty places down there. Check and double check Trip Advisor if you find something you thing might suit you. If you are happy with the Holiday Inn pre cruise stay, it is extremely easy to get to South Beach by public transport at ridiculously low prices, even the taxis are cheap and all are metered and this hotel may be a good bet post cruise. You will be able to see your ship if you are lucky enough to get a room at the front of the HI. sally0 -
we stayed at the park central hotel in south beach. good hotel.nice and clean. across road from beach and easy walking to all the bars, restaurants and shops.0

How safe is South Beach, its my daughters I am booking for and I heard this area was not too nice especially in the evening.0
