Want to cancel sale on ebay

Have sold an item on ebay for collection only. Buyer is now asking that a courier collects, this wasn't the agreement. Can I cancel without losing fees? Also drop down on cancellation only give two reasons either buyer agrees or item no longer available. Any ideas?

Let them send a courier IF they pay via bank transfer?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • They can use a carrier as long as you do not let them pay by PAYPAL
If they use PAYPAL, they can then claim non receipt (INR) and PAYPAL will refund them, as you will have no proof of delivery.
You could get them to pay using PAYPAL if they use the SEND MONEY TO FRIENDS option but they will not do that, opr send money by bank transfer. You are being scammed....

Why should the OP accept a courier? This means having to wait in all day until they turn up. Plus the hassle of packing the item safely.

Collection in person means they can arrange a more specific time (perhaps in the evenings if they are at work all day).
  • We shouldn't be advising the OP accept a courier when A. They are asking for help to cancel the sale and B. it is a known potential scam.

Yes - For the cancellation reason choose 'buyer asked to cancel or there is an issue with the buyer's address'
  • The buyer didn't ask to cancel, can i just cancel without involving them

Yes. Cancel item no longer available.

  • Thank you Hasbeen. Simple answer, all I wanted.
  • No, "there is an issue with the buyers address" is the correct option to use.
