So my DW has a MotoE2 (4G-LTE) phone with lots of pics and a few movies on.
We have tried many times to get these onto our Macbook pro or iPad but the only way seems to be to email them. Very laborious and slow.
The phone and Macbook recognise each other on bluetooth but when I try to send a pic from the phone it says sending file for a few seconds then image not sent.
The Macbook is discoverable and shows the phone under bluetooth but says not connected.
What are we doing wrong?
EDIT, when I try to send a pic the Macbook shows the phone connected for a couple of seconds before switching back to not connected!

Bluetooth isn't a good way to do big file transfers as it doesn't have much bandwidth, it's not designed for that sort of use. Have you tried just hooking the phone up to the laptop with a USB cable?

if you have google photos app on phone and backup set up just log into photos.google.com on laptop and all pics and videos should be there. may take time to appear if backup just switched on depending on amount of content

you can download them onto laptop from there but easiest way is to connect phone to laptop via cable and copy and paste

Thanks both, I have already tried using the cable but it just charges the phone and the Macbook cannot find it.
So I have now installed Google Photos on phone, Macbook and DWs iPad. Now she can download pics to it and wecan see, send them from Macbook and iPad. Great.

It is a bit awkward to transfer files between Android and a Mac.

If you need to do it in future for photos or other files

Connect the phone by USB, Swipe down to show phone notifications and change the USB connection type from charge only to data transfer.

You may also need to install the Android File transfer App on the MAC.
