BT Infinity with no line charges

I currently have BT infinity unlimited with a landline.

On Black friday I saw adverts in the paper for £28 unlimited infinity and including line charges (+ £100 gift card).

Anybody had experience of what they might offer me as an existing customer?
Anybody got any similar deals from them.

I already have the BT hub so wouldn't need one of them.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Unless you are out of minimum term, you won't get any discount at all. Offers for new customers are always better than those available to existing customers.
You'll get FTTC cheaper from almost any other provider than BT. You don't tell us what your LLU options are, but if none, then Plusnet would be the obvious alternative. Same network, better CS, invariably cheaper.
But if you want to stay and are already out of minimum term, then say you are leaving and see what you can negotiate-it's always best to have a target price to give them.

I found BT's retention deals poor. They made me an offer, when they knew I was leaving, and tried to retain me with a much inferior deal.

Too be honest, I find it's usually best to leave a provider and come back as a new customer 1 year later. BT offer some really good cashback deals or pre-paid Mastercards etc if you join as a new customer.

I switched to Sky from BT, as new customer I got around 150 in cashback / pre-paid Mastercards.

It is probably worth switching out as you can always beat BT prices. If you get get a 12 month contract, you can switch every year and end up paying very little after kickbacks.
  • Well I got the offer of diddly squat!

I was told I was in a contract not due to expire till April next year due to signing up to ''free' BT Sport lite.
I was told to phone back next March after receiving my next quarterly bill as they think they ''might'' be able to offer me something then!

    We will see.......................to be continued.
