Help I accidentally picked up breast of lamb. I don't want to cook it for 3 and a half hours in the oven can I cook it in the slowcooker ? If so do I need to add anything.
Thanks in advance.

If it's boned you can stuff it, roll it, brown it and then roast it in the slow cooker. If it still has bones, cut it into strips and cook it in some kind of barbecue sauce. Either is delicious.

I did a breast of lamb in the slow cooker a couple of weeks ago. Came out lovely and even lamb hating DD2 enjoyed it.

Browned in the frying pan with a couple of garlic cloves, added a glass of red wine to the pan and some rosemary, into slow cooker for about 6 hours. Juices poured off and reheated for gravy after fat skimmed off.
It was beautifully tender and tasty.

Building on espy's suggestion, i would add a little pearl barley to the liquid in the slow cooker, so that it absorbs some of the fatty stuff that comes out of the breast of lamb - you can choose whether to eat it or discard it - I did see someone whizz it in the stock to thicken their sauce (gravy)
