Wondered if anyone had come across this. I'm actually owed money by the DWP. ( They said I hadn't told them of a change but after paying the "overpayment " back I found my evidence which has been accepted and they've written (03/11/2016) that they're paying me back. rung on the 28/11/2016 said it will be in my account in ten days plus 24 hours or thereabouts? Don't know if that's working days or just think they're really dragging they're feet and wonder how long it will take.

If they've told you that it will be 10/11 days from the 28/11 then you should have received it already?0

They normally talk about working days, which would take it to Monday / Tuesday of next week. I would call them Monday just to keep on top of it.0

I think they probably mean working days too.,0

I'm off to, thanks0

Exactly, think they must mean working days though I'm ringing Monday.0

I'll post on here when I do get paid just for anyone else in the same boat; one good thing because it's debt management there's no waiting on the phone it rings once if that!0

Rung on the Monday , no joy whatsoever I was an by the village idiot, thought I'd try again on the Tuesday. This second lady was spot on said I would be paid by Friday and I was! So happy. Six weeks and a day from my original received letter and five phone calls. Letter saying I should have been credited arrived days after being paid. Thanks everyone.0

Persistence pays off:) DWP uses 2nd class snail mail for most correspondence so it's far from unusual for letters to take a week or more to arrive.0
