The obvious solution is to get married.
However, when I did something similar years ago, stamp duty was payable on the 50% equity gained.
If I remember correctly though, my solicitor found some way around it.0 -

People in your situation should have properly drawn up wills in place, not to do so is both stupid and irresponsible.0 -

There is no gain if joint tenants though, only if tenants in common.I am not a cat (But my friend is)0 -

This is the main risk.
If the house is entirely in her name and she dies first and you aren't married and don't have wills, then you won't inherit from her.

Have you looked at the terms of your pension? There are still many where a spouse's pension will be granted only if you were married.0
