I have an IPhone 6S that takes great photos and videos which I can instantly share. The problem is that, despite transferring my photos/videos to my laptop/back up, it seems that I am always running out of space on my phone. I have deleted my "deleted photos", take a couple more videos and it's telling me I have no storage left and can't take photos. I have my apps to the minimum I need, in fact, very few.
So, I'm wondering if there is any way to increase the storage on my iPhone or would I be able to get a reasonably priced camera which takes quality photos/video which I can then share with my family instantly through Wi-Fi.

install 'google photos' on the iphone, upload to the cloud free
View & download to laptop if required

That's pretty sweet I didn't know you could get google photos on iPhone.
Do you know, if I already use it on my galaxy, and I put in on my iPhone, will all the photos merge, or can it only be linked to 1 device ?0 -
If you're taking enough photos to fill the phone then you'd better hope that either all your uploads are over WiFi or that you have a generous data package.
As an alternative you could junk the iPhone and get an Android phone that supports micro SD cards.0 -
You'd be able to use Google Photos across your devices.
The photos would merge, yes, but it'd be easy enough to create albums to sort them out if you'd wish.
Another option (less storage mind) is also iCloud Photos-you can set it to store your photos on Apple's services to optimise storage and download them to your iDevices as you wish-but Google offer 15GB over Apple's 5GB "free" allowance. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

Google photos in 'high quality' resolution has NO limit
The 15Gb limit is for 'very high quality' resolution or to store them in Google Drive
An android google phone can be set to this automatically(either on WiFi only or Data) not sure about Apple iphone as I avoid them

No mobile phone camera can really compare to a compact camera. But of you're happy with what you have then you could try going for a wireless SD card to get data off your card without filling it up quick.
Alternatively, if you have a good data plan then set Google Photos to sync everything and delete on the device.0
