Not seeing much progress here either, but am doing best to chip away at it.This month thrown by a couple of unexected expenses and travel costs are increasing as Mum in hospital miles away and of course I'm going to visit as often as I can. I admire all those who find ways to make extra money - most either wouldn't work for me or take rime to do which I don't have. So, it's more a question of not spending/rethinking attitudes re wants v needs and little by little.
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!
  • I've just paid off my 2nd smallest debt today!!! (yes I'm going smallest to largest) Winning with the smaller debts has given me more motivation to pay off the crazy big ones :D

The main thing is that your debt has not increased - in the old days (pre :money: ) you would have just kept adding to that debt, bit by bit and suddenly realising that you owe far more.

so, be proud of the fact that you have not increased your debt. If the work is now done on the house, the money you have spent on doing it up can now be thrown at the debt instead, and you will soon see those figures coming down.

I know what you mean honey.

I have paid off a fair bit, but I feel that I've reached a plateau where I've done most of the big instant result things that can make a massive difference, and now it's just a case of chipping away at it.

Your situation is kind of the opposite. You've been working hard to better your situation all year without feeling that you're moving forward very fast and you're about to have your big instant result now. :j

And you've earned it chick, so don't feel disheartened.

You're just getting to the good bit!

We're the same - beacuse we've got to get our deposit together by the end of the month, the only thing being paid off is £10 a week to moorcroft door collection guy for BT. But once we're moved, just watch us go!!

I suppose you could use the time to really make sure oyur plans are watertight, redo budgets etc. Really get your house in order (excuse the pun!)
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Current Pay Off Target : £1500

Mission accomplished then hon. :j ;)

I've got a dilapidated money pit of a house so I know you must have worked bl**dy hard.

And now it's time to reap the rewards. (Yay! )
