  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. Lainey, pleased to hear that they have your Mums pain under control.

It's the oldies Christmas lunch today, we have just had toast for breakfast, even if we ask for small plate, it will be piled high!! Want to make sure we can do it justice. As the chapel is a registered charity, they do not charge for the meal, but ask you to leave a donation towards the cost. Most people do.

It's a murky morning, very grey, although quite mild again, heating went off at it usual time yesterday, I lit the fire about 4 pm just a small shovel of coal kept it going.

Started the baby quilt, am on to the second part, will only just manage with the back ground fabric........

Time to get up and face the world.
  • Hello all, it is my day off and am struggling with cold, cough, sneeze etc. At least have not had to go to the orifice.

I may do some paperwork but then again, might leave it until I feel better, should be relatively ok tomorrow as I do feel better than last night. Slept in spare bed to avoid disturbing OH

I could wrap some presents later, really do have to organise self, this won't do.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Do you have any cold remedies? Even lemon, honey and hot water would help your throat.

    tru

Thanks for the carol, it is one of my favourites. Puzzled as to what the picture is - elf maybe?

I took some mince pies and shortbread to the WI party last night but ended up taking it home as there was too much food. Middle dd is popping round and might stay over after her work party tonight so will give them to her along with home made soup and meals to take home.

Bacon butty and coffee for brunch and suggested to oldest that I meet her on the bus to Leeds and we visit the market and have a cuppa there. Just before the bus is due back I want to stock up on some frozen food as there are a couple of very cheap frozen food stalls.

Dishwasher is on and will do a quick tidy of the kitchen before I leave. Will do something simple for tonight like omelette and don't think dd will want anything other than a snack, if that.

Hugs to all especially hilstep, coxy, Lainey and LWW.

    Hi all,

Sorry, been MIA, more DD drama with her horrible boyfriend stuff, took all my energies. Just popped in to say hello, scan through the thread and send love and good wishes to all who need them, you are all in my prayers even if I don't list your names.

Off to the Italian gig in an hour, please spare a thought for this poor old biddy trying to impersonate a rock star LOL

    Have a good night.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Just popping in to ask Jackie if there is any news about Bowie.

We dashed up to the Yorkshire house yesterday afternoon and got back a little while ago. We had intended to have a few days up there but with one thing and another we couldn't fit it in and we had a couple of things we needed to do before we go up for Christmas.

We're having fake Christmas tomorrow so hopefully that will be enjoyable, I want to bake a cheesecake for it tonight.

Quick one just back from gig and it was a fantastic success, everybody loved the songs and joined in. I hadn't been in such a lovely happy company for a long time. Totally whacked now, need to sleep!
    Good night.
