Faulty induction hob

Hi All,
I have bought an oven/induction hob set from a large diy store on 19th November.
Had to pay for delivery as it was pick up only and we only have a mini and then got an electrician to install it.
First day was ok, however, on the second day it started to cause problems. One of the hobs didn't heat up. So I left a message on the manufacturers fb page and they replied promptly and organised an engineer to come and check out what is the cause.
He found a fault and ordered a replacement piece for the hob. A couple of days later the other hobs started to play up. Took ages to boil some water.
So, I contacted the manufacturer again and they said that they are very sorry and that I should contact the shop where I bought to get a replacement.
I duly contacted the shop yesterday and was told that they would be happy to replace it. I told them great, what about returning the old one and bringing the new one and installing it? As I didn't want to have to pay for all that again (approx £70)
The store say it is the manufactures responsibility and the manufacturer says its the stores.
Feeling a bit between a rock and a hard place.
Any suggestions?
Thanks Pippaki

Remind them that your contract is with the store not the manufacturer and they have to cover all costs of the replacement.
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 states the following as an obligation of the seller when replacing goods to "bear any necessary costs incurred in doing so (including in particular the cost of any labour, materials or postage)."0 -
All the zones failing?
I was using some magnetic pans I already had before installing an induction hob and had the problems you describe.
Aldi had a particularly large and heavy frying pan on sale that week, so I spent £17 on one . . . the difference was amazing, the zones/ hob(s) all worked perfectly.
I then bought a smaller frying pan and a couple of sauce pans from Ikea (all marked 'induction' on the base) they also made an enormous difference and the hob now works fine, heats up very fast.
The above may be irrelevant as you've had an engineer out, but did he just try the hob using your pans or did he do a deeper investigation?0
