Hi, just wanted to say welcome Alice banned. I'm so sorry to hear work is so awful for you and congratulations on making plans for a better future for yourself
MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Hi Alicebanned, it sounds like you are doing the right thing, I also dont think I could stay somewhere unless I had an escape plan like GG said, that would help psychologically. I am sorry its so awful!
I wondered about airbnb as well, is that something to look into?
Best of luck!

You may well find you can handle the job/boss situation much better when you know you are working on an out and can see a timescale in your head.
Speaking of airbnb, do you have 2 beds? Could you sort out your second room and let it on airbnb? My daughter makes a very good second income on this :T. That shouldn't count as letting as far as your mortgage is concerned. Not that they'd ever find out
.
Thanks gallygirl - that's very true and I am working on coping with it and staying positive whilst I'm still there - used to let it get me down a lot more!
Unfortunately I only have a one-bed flat but I am looking online and have seen a two-bed a couple of miles away that looks really nice and I can almost afford. I think that may be my next step though I need to save/repay debts a bit more before I get my place valued and seriously make the move. I would definitely rent out a room if I had one!0 -

Thanks for the welcome newgirly. I haven't posted on this part of the forum before and technically I am not sure I am a MFW but it seemed the most appropriate place, as the mortgage is a major factor in my issues at the moment and I am considering going back to renting, then buying again. But ultimately mortgage free would really help!
The job situation is bad sometimes but I am getting stronger. I have a colleague at work who is going through the same and we go for walks at lunchtime - makes us feel more human as these situations can really isolate us.0 -

Thanks Jodles for your kind words. I have learnt to cope with it but just realising that I deserve better than coping. It has also been convenient for me to stay for many years as the job itself is ok. Just the politics can be bad!:(0
