Disputed liability claim - both drivers insured by same company

I'd be very interested to know if anyone has experience of disputing liability on a motor insurance claim when both drivers are insured by the same company.
I know it shouldn't make a difference but beginning to think so...
I was driving a car which needed substantial repair. He was driving a small delivery vehicle which didn't. Apparently I clipped his vehicle .. he said at the time "I'm sorry I totally misjudged that.."
Happy to let you all know which company if interested...

it's your word against their's could go 50/50 or one of you is at fault. Doesn't matter if you both have the same insurers or not, liability will need to be settled either way, but they would probably get the cheapest way to do this."It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Same company will try and get 50/50 because they make the most money out of it as you both lose NCB and both have to pay an excess. I had that with my insurer and had to challenge it to get it changed to no fault which it clearly was (woman pulled out of parking space into the wing of my car). You'll have to try to get them to change it; then complaints procedure; then ombudsman.0

If both claims are being dealt with by the same company, usually both claims would be dealt with by different teams. In my company, if I have a claim (I'm in London) and the third party is with the same company it'd be dealt with by a different person in a different office.0
