Help on putting up a roller blind

I have looked on loads of videos for putting up a roller blind but none of them are very helpful as they attach the screws to the window frame...?
I need to attach it to the sides of the wall around the window, the wall is plaster.
I know I will need wall plugs, a correct size masonry drill bit and screws but can anyone tell me what size I will need as I don't want to mess it up!

Please can you help me with the sizing, I already know how to install it, just correct sizing of wall plug, masonry bit and screws

Thank you

Red wallplugs, a 5 or 5.5mm masonry bit and 1 1/4" x 6 cross head screws should do.

What are the dimensions of the window?
You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.
  • Aww crap! I have 6mm bit and 6mm wall plugs, are these still ok or will they not work?

My window frame including the left and right side of the wall is 107cm width x 117cm length

    Thanks guys x

The red wallplugs say 6mm but I find a slightly smaller drill better, its easy to make the hole bigger but much harder to make it smaller!

6mm will be fine as long as you drill straight and you don't move the drill whilst drilling.

Your better of getting long screws as its going to be used a lot.

I find masonry drill bits hard to use accurately (in concrete anyway). So as above I'd go for 5.5mm drill bit for 6mm wall plugs.
