The paper counterpart is not required any more, it was abolished in June 2015.

Your endorsements will be recorded online now.

    Define "recorded"?

Nothing goes physically onto your photocard - and the paper counterpart is a bookmark these days. Have you actually checked on https://www.viewdrivingrecord.service.gov.uk/driving-record/licence-number ?

Only a £100 fine for more than 10 mph above?

That speed is within the normal range for a fixed penalty (£100 & 3pts)

Seems the standard fine for that speed to me.

It does beg the question what is the point of sending off the photo card, with the chance it could be lost/stolen, when it is not noted or amended in any way?

Surely just writing the licence number on the form confirming who was driving should suffice.

ACPO guidelines are 10% + 2mph for pulling people over (35mph)

    For speed awareness it's up to 10% + 9mph (42mph)

    50mph is the summons level

44mph is a bit excessive given she was speeding even if she thought it was a 40 zone, maybe she needs to slow down!

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Agreed, nicked for 44 means her speedo was probably showing closer to 48 !

I wish they'd put cameras in 30 zones around here, we have far too many of these single speed drivers, 40 in a 20, 40 in a 30, 40 in a 50, 40 in a 60 and 40 nose first into parking spaces in the bloody supermarket carpark.
