Safe to have cooker (when I get one) in corner away from extractor fan?

Just moved in and bringing furniture across in a few days, but the layout of my new kitchen despite room being same size is different in part as theres a boiler cupboard, and theres a sideboard around 3 of the 4 walls.

Due to this it means I can't fit in my fridge or chest freezer as the units mean I would only have space for under counter ones (then a lot of unused space above them.

I have been told its ok for me to remove the sideboards as long as I keep them safe, that I think is best option.

However that would mean if I put the cooker next to extractor fan it would be right next to the chest freezer which would be dangerous plus pump out a lot of heat.

If I put chest freezer and fridge size by side I have plenty of room but then the only place for cooker would be the other corner so not close to the extractor fan.

Would this still be ok?

Maybe the easy answer is to ask yourself how many kitchens actually have an extractor fan (or one that they actually use). I have smoke alarms and a CO monitor but I've never had an extractor fan.

I've got a gas cooker and no extractor fan but remain entirely alive.

As a single person do you need a tall fridge, presumably a fridge-freezer, and a chest freezer. Are you a long way from civilisation?
Fridges and freezers are expensive to run.

Don't most homes have extractor hoods? I always use mine. You're much better off with one unless you want to increase the risk of condensation and damp in your property.

Why not keep your chest freezer in your spare bedroom?

Then it will take up space in there, plus when guests stay over they will hear it (the friend and family that visit are light sleepers)

I don't leave house for days, buy stuff in bulk such as yellow sticker stuff.

The Fridge however gets little use apart from storing drinks and sauces, or leftovers now and again, or on the rare chance I get yellow sticker stuff that can't go in freezer such as yogurts.

Maybe; maybe not. We moved into our current home just over a year ago and it is the first place we have ever lived in (owned or rented) that has an extractor hood. My parents don't have one, neither do my in-laws. My parents do have an extractor fan in the wall but not a hood over the cooker. Conventional practice has always been to open the window (or the external door if needed and where available) and keep any other ones closed.
