Computer keeps 'not responding'

Anyone know why this is happening, it's also making a noise, as if the fan is overworking/overheating? (it's not too hot to touch though). There are other weird things happening such as I couldn't actually start a new paragraph for this sentence! I've got C Cleaner, but I haven't updated that, should I? And then run it?






Or is there something else I need to know? Thanks! :-)

And I only pressed the return button once, yet the last sentence was way down....another anomaly, but the main thing is that the computer keeps not responding, so everything is taking far too long (most sites do eventually respond after about 3 - 5 mins)

Is it just on the internet? Which browser are you using - I get this with Firefox sometimes, I'm thinking of ditching it a I get the 'not responding' quite often

I am primary a FF user, but my secondary browser is a chrome based one called flashpeak slimjet and is nippy, but do turn on the built-in adblocker in settings, if you install it
