    It's not a major issue now, but it can become a major issue when the wood rots; improve the ventilation when possible.

    I would get wedges for the roofing felt put in quick-smart as they will help with airflow through the loft. You can then afford to take a little more time with getting quotes etc for fitting roof vents.

    Quoted £350 + VAT for 6 roof vents. Is it reasonable?

    That's what a friend of mine did - not had a problem since.

    Doesn't seem excessive then. I would try fitting polystyrene wedges first, you can even make your own from one piece of 20mm polystyrene. You will save a tonne of money and it may be all you need.
