Whether to claim?

Options
Forgive me I am a little late to this as I made the assumption that I would not be affected by any of the PPI claims. However a friend says I should still check.

In a nutshell, I have never had a mortgage, bank accounts with a monthly fee and the only loans or cards I have had have been interest free and paid back each month on time. Is there any possibility at all me paying PPI without knowing? The loans have all been either for a new car or for electrical goods but interest free. Of course I guess there is a possibility that something was included in the deposit??

Am I correct in assuming that it is not worth investigating in my situation?

Thanks in advance.

With credit cards you only paid PPI if you had a balance at the end of the month
With a loan you would have signed an agreement stating if it had it or not

It would never be paid without your knowledge and was not "included in the deposit". Loans, especially for cars, may have done if you didn't read the paperwork in full but it depends when you took them out, pre-2005 is before regulation so the seller (the dealer) won't have to take responsibility.

Check your paperwork, see if it mentions it

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
