Need some ideas-birthday celebrations...

We were going to New York for a long weekend for a big birthday (one of those '0' ones
). I've just found out that I *have* to work either side of that weekend & I'm stuck. Don't mind postponing that trip for a month or so, but want to do something pretty amazing to celebrate the actual birthday, either just with OH, or maybe with a few friends. Any ideas? Either just for the day, or the weekend. Anywhere in UK, but south East makes most sense. Any ideas?

how about one of those murder mystery weekends at a country hotel - you get dinner etc and also entertainment. A friend of mine went to one and said it was a great laugh.Bern :j0
