New car
Been wanting a new car for a while as mine is slowly dying on me.
Not sure which way to go when it comes to buying or leasing.
I currently use a company vehicle 5 days a week and only use my car on weekends.
On average i rack up about 2000 miles per year.
Would it be worth getting a £6000 car if I hardly use it? Or would it be better to Lease? A cheap runabout? etc
very undecided.
Thanks in advance

on 2000 miles a year I'd just get a bangerI hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0

With that low a mileage, a banger with a big engine and plenty of luxury.0

Do you mean you're paying tax on the company vehicle, and only getting 5 days' use? That's a rough deal.0

I'd be spending £1,000 to £1,500 and buying something like a petrol focus zetec or similar.0

More likely the original poster only gets 5 days use purely for business but then pays no taxable benefit.

Personally I'd buy something that drinks petrol like mad - just 2000 miles a year won't cost too much in fuel.0 -

No.
At 2000 miles a year, I'd question whether you really need a car at all ! And I certainly wouldn't be looking to spend 6 grand on it ! Christ, my car cost less than that, and it does 30K a year.
I'd suggest a Toyota Yaris - but just specify the optional rear brakes0 -
Thanks for the reply guys. I currently have a 55 plate Renault Megane but it is dying on me.
And yeah, The company car is purely 5 days for business use.0
