Start with the allowance it probably should be more than 4 days.
They can't round down and first year has rules for rounding up.0 -
I used to work 3 days a week and our business was always shut down over the Christmas period. So I had to keep 3 days holiday entitlement and the full time workers had to keep 5 days for the week.
Depending on what days the public holidays fell on, we were sometimes given an extra day for free (iyswim) if that fitted in with the shut down. But we always had to keep a weeks holiday for Christmas out of our annual 28 days.
OP you haven't lost 3 days holiday as you will be on holiday for those 3 days.'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought
And I ain't got the power anymore'0 -

A brain fart, I'm afraid. Apologies, and corrected.Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
As the three non bank holiday days between Christmas and new year are a wed, thur and fri and these are the days you work then that is why you need to take 3 days from your leave. If they fell on different days then you'd be off anyway so wouldn't have had to take three days, it would've just been the days you were due to work from those days.0
