I got 62 results when I just this minute searched this board (only, not MSE as a whole) for the words 'Gladstones incoherent' and certainly they included defences written in the past 2 months. Great examples.
I got 19 results when I searched for the words 'UKCPM defence' and that included a defence v UKCPM written yesterday.
So search in the way we do. It is not the white box top right of the page (a useless search of the entire website) it's the search function just above the sticky threads on the right, level with 'NEW THREAD'.
Those results are in addition to the defences & general defence advice found in the NEWBIES thread under 'Small Claim?'
Thanks I'll try that. The thing is, a lot of these defences have semi-legitimate reasons... I don't have one! Or the people have already replied and sent letters to the company etc, I haven't0 -
I suggest writing to FF along the lines of
"I am not a member and have been using your members' parking spaces with no good reason for some time. I have been issued with at least one parking ticket from UK Car Park Management, Brighton and have chosen to ignore their various letters and also ones from their solicitors.
I have now been issued with court papers and don't want to pay.
Would you ask them to cancel the tickets and court action for me?
Thank you"
Yes, that should do it!
Haha! I didn't mean quite like that, I meant like maybe saying I asked a nameless member of staff who said I could park there because no one ever gets issued a ticket or something!0 -

If you get a name, you actually may have a defence. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Nope, not the case at all. You have grounds to defend, so did all the others you will read. Thanks I'll try that. The thing is, a lot of these defences have semi-legitimate reasons... I don't have one! Or the people have already replied and sent letters to the company etc, I haven't
And almost all posters here with a claim have ignored the parking firms.
And no-one we have helped defend v Gladstones has lost or even had to attend court, so far. Not one person, and we've assisted defences all year (only UKPC cases have proceeded with some won, a few lost). No others except Lamilad's BW Legal fun & Games but he was also on pepipoo forum. No Gladstones cases have gone any further than DQ stage from this forum.
I have a theory they avoid forum defences and 'stay' the cases they recognise from the forums - either that or they don't like a long defence and charge their clients a fee per word to reply to anything!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi
I have Just received a claims for from glad stones solicitors asking me to pay £241.00 it has a county court stamp on it with and address for northampton county court. I've been searching the forums and am really confused. So far I realise I need to put forward a defence.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you
