Newbie - county court claim form - please help

Hi everyone, I'm a bit new to this so apologies in advance. Every single parking ticket since 2012 to present I have ignored and they've gone away.
This morning however, I got a Claim Form from UK Car Park Management, Brighton. The court stamp is bit blurry and it has the court address in Northampton.
Brief synopsis:
They have a camera in the Fitness First car park by my local station, and they photographed/filmed my car entering and leaving the premisses. I guess they check with FF to see whether or not I'm a member there (I'm not) as the car park is for patrons only. They've photographed/filmed me a few times so I'm thinking there might be more than one of these coming.
In the pics they sent you cant see me behind the wheel, only my car {thus far, I have ever admitted/said a single thing to them or Gladstone's (their solicitors)}
Claim is for £221.84
I've read some posts by bargepole, and I've ticked the "I intend to defend all of this claim" box but I'm not entirely sure what the best course of action/defence is. Please can you help?
Thanks

You need to find some reasons why you don't need to pay. The facts seem to be that you did it, had no justifiable excuse for parking there ( at least none disclosed), so you will need to fins some "technical reasons" or deficienies as to why the PPC has failed to apply for the charges properly. Such things are signage, badly worded NtK/PCN, no authority from landowner, but in all honesty, you have left it a bit late.
Start looking at other recent threads where they are dealing with court claims.0 -
Search 'Gladstones incoherent' or 'UKCPM defence' on this board, to see other examples in addition to all the ones you will have found in the NEWBIES thread under 'Small Claim?' There are Gladstones defences linked there. Show us your draft for your case.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have no justifiable reason except it's the nearest one to the station!
I am maybe thinking of passing the buck to Fitness First somehow... 0 -

Unless I'm being stupid, I can't find templates for any defences using that search criteria. Do you reckon it will wash to blame it on an ex girlfriend or something?
Also, do I have to send this form back or just do it online?
Thanks0 -
go to the second sticky thread down from the top of this forum and click on it
the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread
read the court sub-section in post #1
also read the links to the threads by member bargepole and read them too
he explains all the basics in acknowledging the court claim
as there is a court claim with your name on it , you will have to defend it , naming the fitness club or the girlfriend or sanata claus will not help you at all
its a court claim, you are being taken to court , its serious , get real and do the research , all the info you need is mentioned or linked in that NEWBIES sticky thread in the SMALL CLAIM sub-section
and read the PARKING PRANKSTERS COURT GUIDE too (google it , probably be the kindle edition)0 -

I suggest writing to FF along the lines of
"I am not a member and have been using your members' parking spaces with no good reason for some time. I have been issued with at least one parking ticket from UK Car Park Management, Brighton and have chosen to ignore their various letters and also ones from their solicitors.
I have now been issued with court papers and don't want to pay.
Would you ask them to cancel the tickets and court action for me?
Thank you"
Yes, that should do it!0 -
Are you being serious? You're going to tell the court that? Do you fancy some jail time?Do you reckon it will wash to blame it on an ex girlfriend or something?
Do a Google search on 'Chris Huhne, Vicky Pryce - Perverting the course of Justice'.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Why not make a "without prejudice" offer to them - whatever you think it is worth.
Advise them that since they are using Gladstones there is a good chance they will **** it up so it may be in their interest to take some money rather than waste it all on the incompetent tea person that is filing these claims as no qualified solicitor would ever come up with the nonsense you're seeing.

I expect you were not searching 'this board' and 'show posts' (under 'advanced' search).Unless I'm being stupid, I can't find templates for any defences using that search criteria.
I got 62 results when I just this minute searched this board (only, not MSE as a whole) for the words 'Gladstones incoherent' and certainly they included defences written in the past 2 months. Great examples.
I got 19 results when I searched for the words 'UKCPM defence' and that included a defence v UKCPM written yesterday.
So search in the way we do. It is not the white box top right of the page (a useless search of the entire website) it's the search function just above the sticky threads on the right, level with 'NEW THREAD'.
Those results are in addition to the defences & general defence advice found in the NEWBIES thread under 'Small Claim?'
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You can actually get out of police speeding fines that way... I know a few people who have done it, but you didn't hear it from me
