Not sure you would need accelerated drying additives or fibres, the fibres are only required if part of the design. Not sure the pump operative would apprechiate the rapid hardening as they would hàve to clean the pump out once you were part way through as it would go off in the pump line. Can you not access the area with a wheel barrow? If so itd be cheaper to pay a couple of labourers for a day to barrow the concrete in, part fill wall, do footing, maybe finish wall if all good?0

Haven't read the whole thread. Has engineer specified infill with concrete as structural part of the retaining wall, or could you fill with hard-core or gravel to aid drainage.0

The accelerate drying would only be if I was going to do 2 courses, then the footings, then the next 2 courses (which is not something I really want to do and I suspect the pumping guys would rather not faff about with!) No access for wheelbarrows as there are only steps to the garden and there is a deck overhanging the wall. It would need mixing on the base and then lifting in, or building a scaffold and mixing it on that.0 -

It doesn't need drainage and it wouldn't drain due to the DPM! The structural engineer has said it needs to be C40 with steel mesh and hardcore and gravel would provide no strength.0 -
Unless this infill that you are proposing has re-bar or mesh in it there will be no chance of it holding back anything. From the photos it would appear that you have not built a retaining. Just an ordinary block wall that you hope might retain what is behind. it.0

At least 2 post mention the rebar (mesh) in the wall and base.0
