MSE Cheap Energy Club still have me on GB Energy as cheapest and tell me there is none better!!! Really.....it went bust over 10 days ago and I'd have thought that their facility would have been updated by now and GBE taken down!!!
The site doesn't have psychic powers. Each time I switch, I update my tariffs and end dates manually by pressing the Edit button. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Hi edwal13,
As Hengus says, you'll need to go into your Cheap Energy Club account and edit your current supplier and tariff details so that we can continue to monitor your account with the correct details.
To do this, just log into your account and follow these instructions:
• On the Welcome Back homepage, scroll down to Current Tariff Details,
• Click on Edit Details and then you will be able to update your usage, as well as, your supplier and tariff
Hope this helps.

Thanks for that Laura ...but......I tried an edit and couldn't make it work.
Tell me.....what do I put in for a current provider if GBE isn't it any more....and the tariff with the Co-op to which I'm supposed to have been moved is not one of their quoted tariffs but a special one they are maintaining for the transferring GBE customers...and it isn't listed?0 -
Hi edwal13,
As Co-op Energy will be keeping your rates the same, it might be best to keep your tariff as the GB Energy one for now. The rates of your tariff shouldn't have changed, so this shouldn't affect the results you're seeing on CEC.
Thanks,

Give me a cheaper tariff than my current GB electric then please .15p standing charge and .108275 unit rate .
Well JJ just in case you missed it I'll copy and paste......
GB Energy goes bust - key information and what to do
Hi there,
According to the details we have, your current supplier is GB Energy, and as you may already know, it ceased trading on Saturday. We've compiled a Q&A with key information below. If you're not with GB, log in to update your details.
The first thing to note, though, is don't panic: your supply won't be cut off and any credit balances are protected by regulator Ofgem's safety net scheme.
Q. I'm a GB Energy customer - what should I do?
A. The very clear advice from Ofgem is that you should wait for it to appoint a new supplier, which MoneySavingExpert.com understands is likely to be one of the big six energy firms - British Gas, Npower, EDF, E.on, SSE or Scottish Power. Ofgem says:
You should take a meter reading right away to keep track of what you've used - this will be important for the transfer process.
You should otherwise "sit tight" and wait until the new supplier appointed by Ofgem contacts you.
You should wait until the new supplier gets in touch before switching. When you do, you won't be charged exit fees.
Q. Should I cancel my direct debit?
A. Ofgem says you shouldn't. Those in credit with GB Energy won't have any further direct debits taken, while those in debt to GB Energy will have direct debit payments taken as normal, and should allow this to happen.
We know some customers have cancelled their direct debits anyway, and we're clarifying with Ofgem why it's issued this particular advice.
And like another 160,000 people like you... I was with GB too....but none of us are NOW!
We ALL still have our cheap tariffs...just like you.....but you are now with the Co-op if you didn't already know. And when your amazingly low tariff ends you have to pick someone new.
The thing is see......theres no point advertising GB Energy still....no-one else is or can come on board.0
