Which airline for London to Vietnam?

Hi
Looking for ideas on who to fly with next summer. So far I have narrowed it down to
Singapore
Etihad
Emirates
Cathay Pacific
Maybe Turkish (good ranking on best airlines but long distance planes seem to be old A340s).
Are these reasonable carriers? Would love to fly on an A380 but im not sure which route they are on. Looking for just one stop and ideally no more than £700 return if possible.
Any opinions or experiences welcome.
Thanks

Where in the UK are you?

As above, are you in London, assume so if you only want one change.
I've flown with all except Cathay and don't think there's much between them, might just be a case of resolving the interface between cost, time. To be fair Singapore were a cut above.
Itc software can give you a good option for searches so I'd start there, sorting by time and a range of airports, are you looking at Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi?0 -
Hi
Yes, based near London and its to Hanoi
Ticket just for me.0 -

So a short hop for Cathay, depends whether you want a long flight and short hop or two evenly timed flights.0 -
I'm booked with Vietnam Airlines flying out in March 2017. Heathrow to Hanoi return £495. Direct non-stop flight.0

If I book with one of these companies do they operate both parts of the flights?
Very new to this.
Yes.
I did it with Cathay once: a long overnight flight to Hong Kong, and then four hours in the airport there followed by a couple of hours to Vietnam. (For my flights, although the whole ticket was issued by Cathay the 'short hop' was actually operated by Vietnam Airline as a 'code-share'.)0 -

You can also get a flight all the way through with Cathay - they serve the Hong Kong-Hanoi route with Cathay Dragon.
If time is important and the OP can stretch the budget a bit, then Vietnam fly non-stop for £780 (July 2017 prices)0 -
....or just quote actual date ranges.0

Singapore, Emirates and Etihad have plenty of A380 aircraft flying from Heathrow, so you should be able to get one sector at least on this aircraft.
Btw Qantas codeshare with Emirates and they also have A380 aircraft to Dubai from Heathrow.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
